I smiled quite a bit today. None of those weirdly intense big grins of course, but just small smiles. Small smiles that had a big impact on me today.

I think the key to today’s task isn’t just to smile randomly. It’s to smile in spite of bad situations. That’s when you’ll notice a significant and relatively rapid change in your mood.

I must say, I really liked completing today’s task.

Once you get past all those addictive urges to think negatively, you’re really left with this comforting, soothing feeling in your head.

It’s easy to forget the positive things about yourself and your life.

It’s even easier to focus in on the negative parts and beat yourself up about your shortcomings and mistakes that you’ve made.

And according to a New York Times article published earlier this year, there’s even research that supports the fact that the human brain by nature, recalls negative emotions and memories more often than positive ones.
