December is both an end and a beginning: While we’ve finally come to the last playlist of 2018, it’s also our very first Winter playlist!

This month in general feels like one of those endings that’ll lead into a beautiful, new beginning. But endings always involve clearing out the clutter you don’t need to make room for the lovely things you want.

And so, in the spirit of letting all things 2018-related go, I’ve come up with a playlist to help clear out and leave behind the drama of the past year to make room for the good things you certainly have coming your way in 2019.

These aren’t holiday songs and not all of them are peppy. But they are theatrical in nature and have helped me release negative feelings.

A few notes about the selected songs for December:

Mood: Wintry Mix, You’re Going to Learn Something Today, Rise Up 2019,                                              Throw 2018 Into The Bonfire, Winter of Our Discontent, You’re Gonna Love Me 2019, You                    Own You

Included Artists: Resistance Revival Chorus, Black Violin, Jennifer Holliday, En                                       Vogue, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Pentatonix, ZZ Ward

Genres: R&B, Classical, Pop, Rap, Hip-hop

As always, I’ve made the playlist public, so go ahead and follow it, if you’d like.

Here’s the playlist for December. Enjoy!
